Welcome to The Natural Path

Foraging...

If you have made it here to my page, chances are you are already interested in learning foraging.  You probably have a foraging book or two on your book shelf and have been waiting for the right moment to come along to propel you forward with the confidence to get out there and get gathering!

My aim, to take you to hidden, remote & unusual places so you can slow down....
re-engage with nature & the natural environment with the added benefit of finding tasty, healthy, good things to eat.

Conservation Contracting, Coppicing & Hedge laying...

Late Autumn through Spring...

My team and I primarily restore large areas of derelict or over stood Coppice, lay hedges and supply Hazel to clients wanting product for their own projects.

Working with landowners, agents & conservation organisations, I advise on the grant application process, write woodland management plans and implement restoration projects using traditional management techniques such as felling, coppicing, ride widening and glade creation. We also plant new woodland using native, mixed broadleaf tree’s such as Oak, Hazel, Sweet Chestnut, Ash and Beech.

I also get a great deal of satisfaction from laying really long, over stood agricultural hedges as well as the fancy ones in front of gardens.

Gardening...

In that sometimes ‘hungry gap’ Coppicing creates, I garden for clients.
I adore working in Traditional English cottage gardens, bee’s buzzing, butterflies flitting from flower to flower. Birds singing in the tress! I maintain gardens filled with shrubs and flower beds.  Having a great love for the outdoors I retrained a number of years ago with RHS in oder to do Garden landscaping and design.

I manage my own allotment growing many of the flowers and plants I use to populate my gardens. I grow my plants Biodynamically and Organically working with nature not against it and planting things suitable to the environment they are expected to flourish in.
